Stevie sat in the small recording studio fussing over some new material the band was working on. The recording session hadn’t been a success earlier in the day, and Stevie decided to stay late to see if she could work out some of the kinks the group had come across. Stevie put down the papers and let out a long sigh. The longer she looked over the music, the less it made sense in her head. She picked up her denim jacket and her pack of cigarettes before heading outside for a break.

The chill air flipped through her hair as she sat on the steps leading into the recording studio. She lit a cigarette and took a deep drag on it and leaned back on the cool cement. While looking up at the changing autumn sky, Stevie thought she heard a familiar laugh. She sat up at looked down the sidewalk. “Well I’ll be damned. Is that Robert’s laugh!?”

"Oh, Lindsey… There you are!" Stevie had gone through her day graciously accepting all of the wishes given to her, but now hearing it from the person she’d wanted the most a loss of breath swept over her. "Thank you…" Stevie opened her arms to give him a hug. "Thank you so much."

Lindsey grinned and wound his arms around Stevie in a bear-hug, kissing her hair as he rocked slightly from side-to-side. “Got you something…” he murmured after a silent moment or two, sliding a hand up to her neck to clasp a small, moon-shaped pendant there. “Not much, but I saw it and I thought you’d like it.”

Stevie relaxed into the familiar, strong embrace of Lindsey’s. She moved along with him to their own rhythm, and felt his warm breath on her head. “Oh, really? You know you didn’t have to…” Stevie’s words trailed off when she saw the pendant resting in his hands. The colors illuminated from the crescent seemed to match those that mixed inside Stevie’s eyes. Had he known this when he found the bewitching trinket? Stevie smirked, picked up the pendant from his hands, and looked up into his eyes, “You know me oh so well, Mr. Buckingham.” Stevie pulled off the necklace already hanging around her neck, and switched the charm with the moon-shaped gift. She held it out to Lindsey and turned around, “Will you do the honors?”
